empty. Ships in 3-4 days after order. Special order item.
The volume stated is based on mathematical calculation.
Also some head space is considered into the estimate because a gas tank should never be filled completely to the top. Some
space should be left for the gas to expand due to heat and movement
Installation: Typical installation
locations include the rear rack or passenger pillion. The brackets each have 2 holes about 3/8-inch diameter and about 4.75-inches apart.
Once you have decided where to mount the tank you must make sure you mount it securely. On a carburated bike it is pretty
easy to tie into your fuel system with a T-Fitting by splicing into your bike's fuel line between the main tank and carb(s). You'll
need an in-line valve to control the flow of gas from the Tour Tank as well as other fittings, which are included in the fuel
connection kit. Fuel injected bikes are best served by taking your main motorcycle's tank to a pro weld shop and have them
weld a 1/4NPT threaded bung in the bottom of your tank. Then thread in a brass fitting into the bung and hook the Tour
Tank fuel line to that fitting and the Tour Tank gas will go to the main tank and use the factory fuel pump.
